We have gotten off to a great start at JMI and have many exciting events coming up that everyone is sure to enjoy!

Starting with the week of October 17 - 21; we will be showing our support against school violence and supporting the campaign against it through a SPIRIT week!

Monday 10/17 – “Team Up for Respect” - wear a shirt or jersey of your favorite sports team!

Tuesday 10/18 – “Tip Your Cap for Peace” - wear a hat during school!

Wednesday 10/19 – “Super Hero Day” -wear a shirt representing your favorite super hero (no

costumes please)

Thursday 10/20 – “Bright Future Day” -wear clothing from a favorite college, university or branch of the military

Friday 10/21 – “JMI Spirit” -wear JMI Spirit wear, or green/yellow

SOCKTOBER...

What is that you ask? That is our way of being a good citizen and giving back to our Edison community! We are currently collecting new socks and gloves for the Edison shelter to provide to those in need. All you need to do is send the items in with you child. Not only will you be able to help your child be a good citizen, you are helping your community and those in need. Thank you for you support!

James Madison Intermediate will continue the Halloween Parade tradition again this year. On October 31, 2016, students can wear their costume to school and walk in the parade. Our class party will follow. If you haven't sent in your money for the class party, please consider doing so by Friday, October 21.

REMINDER: Parent/ Teacher Conferences are being scheduled for November. If you do not have the sign-up information that was sent home, please send me an email and I will reply with times and dates that are available.
